These Big Mac Sliders are a delicious mini version of the classic burger, featuring seasoned ground beef, melted American cheese, and a tangy homemade Big Mac sauce. Served on soft Hawaiian rolls toasted with butter and sesame seeds, they’re perfect for parties or a fun family meal.

Ingredients

Scale

For the Sliders

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 tsp pepper
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 12 Hawaiian rolls
  • 6 slices American cheese
  • 1/2 cup white onion, diced
  • 1 tbsp butter, melted
  • 1 tbsp sesame seeds
  • 5 oz shredded iceberg lettuce
  • 1/2 cup sliced dill pickles

For the Big Mac Sauce

  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tsp mustard
  • 1 tsp vinegar
  • 3 tbsp pickled relish
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp paprika

Instructions

  1. Cook the beef: Add the ground beef to a large skillet and season it with salt and pepper. Cook over medium-high heat for about 10 minutes, breaking the meat apart as it cooks, until it is browned and fully cooked. Meanwhile, preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Assemble the sliders: Keep the slider rolls connected and slice them in half horizontally. Place the bottom halves on the prepared baking sheet. Layer the American cheese slices evenly over the buns, then spread the cooked ground beef over the cheese. Sprinkle the diced white onions evenly on top for that authentic Big Mac flavor.
  3. Toast the buns: Place the top halves of the rolls back onto the sliders. Brush the tops with melted butter, then sprinkle sesame seeds evenly over them. Bake in the preheated oven for about 12 minutes, or until the tops are golden brown and slightly toasted.
  4. Make the Big Mac sauce: In a small bowl, combine the mayonnaise, mustard, vinegar, pickled relish, onion powder, garlic powder, and paprika. Stir thoroughly until the sauce is smooth, creamy, and well blended.
  5. Add the toppings: After baking, carefully remove the top buns and set them aside. Sprinkle shredded iceberg lettuce over the cooked onions on each slider, then drizzle the Big Mac sauce liberally across the toppings. Add a couple of dill pickle slices to each slider, then replace the top buns. Slice the entire tray of sliders into individual portions and serve immediately.

Notes

  • Using Hawaiian rolls adds a slight sweetness which mimics the classic Big Mac bun flavor.
  • Make sure to not overcook the beef to keep it juicy and tender.
  • You can prepare the Big Mac sauce in advance and refrigerate for up to 3 days.
  • For extra flavor, you can lightly toast the bottom buns before assembling.
  • Feel free to add extra pickles or more cheese slices if you prefer.
