This comforting recipe combines classic Italian flavors for a satisfying meal that’s quick and easy to prepare.

Ingredients

Scale

Pasta and Cheese

  • 1 lb fresh cheese ravioli

Sauce

  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup sun-dried tomatoes, chopped
  • 2 cups fresh spinach
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Cook the ravioli: Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook the fresh cheese ravioli according to the package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. Prepare the sauce base: In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant but not browned.
  3. Make the creamy sauce: Stir in the heavy cream, chicken broth, grated Parmesan cheese, and chopped sun-dried tomatoes. Bring to a gentle simmer and cook for around 3 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the sauce thickens to your desired consistency.
  4. Add the spinach: Toss in the fresh spinach leaves and cook for 1-2 minutes until the spinach has wilted and incorporated into the sauce.
  5. Combine and serve: Add the cooked ravioli to the skillet and gently toss to coat them evenly with the creamy Tuscan sauce. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Serve immediately, garnished with extra Parmesan cheese and freshly ground black pepper if desired.

Notes

  • Use fresh ravioli for the best texture and flavor, but frozen ravioli can be substituted if needed.
  • For a vegetarian option, replace chicken broth with vegetable broth.
  • Feel free to substitute heavy cream with half-and-half for a lighter sauce, though it may be less rich.
  • Sun-dried tomatoes packed in oil can add more flavor; if using dry, rehydrate by soaking in warm water before chopping.
  • Garnish with fresh basil or parsley for added color and aroma.
  • Leftovers keep well refrigerated for 2 days and reheat gently on the stovetop or microwave.
