  • 1 cup (240 ml) heavy cream
  • 1 lemon, juiced and zested
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Prepare the seafood: Clean the mussels thoroughly by scrubbing their shells and removing the beards. Peel and devein the shrimp, ensuring they are ready to cook.
  2. Make the garlic cream sauce: In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1-2 minutes. Pour in the white wine and let it simmer to reduce slightly.
  3. Cook mussels: Add the cleaned mussels to the skillet and cover with a lid. Steam for about 5-7 minutes until the mussels open up. Discard any mussels that do not open.
  4. Add shrimp: Stir in the shrimp, cooking them for 3-4 minutes until they turn pink and are cooked through.
  5. Finish the sauce: Pour in the heavy cream, then add the lemon juice, lemon zest, and chopped parsley. Stir everything well and season with salt and pepper to taste. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes to let the flavors meld.
